Mother/Daughter Retreats 2008

Our Mother/Daughter Retreats are a highlight for many moms and their daughters.  It is a time to worship Christ together and spend a little time away from the hustle and bustle of school or work. Mom, plan on putting this trip on your calendar and enjoy the great outdoors with your daughter for one of these special weekends to remember.


Place: Angeles Crest Christian Camp

Date: Mother/Daughter I  -  May 16 - May 18, 2008
          Mother/Daughter II -  May 30 - June 1, 2008

Cost: Mothers - $99.00
          Jr. High & High School daughters - $80
          Elementary age daughters - $70

Time The retreat will begin with check-in on Friday evening between
            6:30 and 8:00 p.m.  Dinner will not be served on Friday night, but
            a snack will be provided and the camp snack bar will be open. 
            The camp will conclude on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.


MOTHER / DAUGHTER I -   MAY 16 - 18

Retreat Coordinator: 
VICKY STEVENS

Vicky Stevens will be our Mother/Daughter Retreat Coordinator.  Vicky currently serves Angeles Crest Christian Camp as the full time Office Manager. a position she’s held for the past 15 years.  She has been involved with Angeles Crest over the years as a camper, volunteer worker, camp counselor and as a camp dean.  Vicky has a great love for Angles Crest and a lot of experience in leading camps for moms and daughters.  Vicky’s positive attitude, creative thinking and excellent leadership combine to provide a fantastic experience at our Mother/Daughter retreats.

Guest Speaker:  ADAH HUTCHCRAFT

Adah has been proclaiming the Word of God for nearly 14 years and has been active as youth minister, children’s minister, Sunday School teacher, and hospital chaplain. She has spoken at women’s retreats and church camps for 8 years, and has also been blessed to minister along side her husband, Jason, currently the lead pastor of Southwest Christian Church in Temecula, where they live with their three cats.  Adah has earned her Fine Arts degree from Milligan College in May 2004 and her Master of Divinity from Emmanuel School of Religion in May 2007.  You will be blessed by her message as she shares with us our role as Daughters of the King.


Worship Leader: 
KIM LULLO

Kim is currently serving as the Worship Director at Mission Viejo Christian Church in Mission Viejo.  She has been a part of worship ministry in Orange County for many years - at Hope International University, Knott Avenue Christian Church, Creekside Christian Fellowship, and as a music teacher at Mission Viejo Christian School.  Kim has been a worship leader for many conferences and retreats.  Kim has a 15 year old son, Zack and a 12 year old daughter, Kelsey who will be with her this weekend.   Kim believes that worship is a huge part of our relationship with Christ and is very excited to share in worship with us this weekend!

Recreation Activities

In addition to our pool with two slides and a diving board, there are plenty of hiking trails in the area, "The Hut" (a Baja Beach store & snack shack), a sand volleyball court, the newly refurbished basketball court, ping pong tables, foosball tables, crafts, Frizbee golf, a climbing wall, the "trampoline thing", archery, BB guns, "Isaiah's Perch", Zip Line," and Digglers (the latest mountain scooters)!.


What to Bring

Our weather at camp is usually a reflection of the Southern California weather. However, the evenings can be cool. Bring recreation and hiking clothes for the day and jackets for the evening. You will need a sleeping bag, pillow, wash cloth, toiletries, towel, flashlight, Bible, etc.

"Camperships" Available
Our greatest desire is to minister to people through our camp program.  If you have a special financial need, we have Camperships (1/3 off the cost of camp) available.  Request for all Camperships must be in writing and must be submitted to the camp with the registration form 10 days before the camp.  Rules for acceptance and participation at an ACCC program are the same for everyone regardless of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or handicap.
