Our Mother/Daughter Retreat is a highlight for many moms and their daughters.  It is a time to worship Christ together and spend a little time away from the hustle and bustle of school or work. Mom, plan on putting this trip on your calendar and enjoy the great outdoors with your daughter for this special weekend to remember.

Place:     Angeles Crest Christian Camp

Date:      May 31 - June 2, 2013
            
Cost:      Mothers - $125.00
               Jr. High & High School daughters - $95
               Elementary age daughters - $85

Time:     The retreat will begin with check-in on Friday
               evening between  6:30 and 8:00 p.m.  Dinner
               will not be served on Friday night, but a snack will
               be provided and the camp snack bar will be open.  The camp will
               conclude on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

 

Retreat Coordinator:  VICKY STEVENS

Vicky Stevens will be our Mother/Daughter Retreat Coordinator.  Vicky currently serves Angeles Crest Christian Camp as the full time Office Manager, a position she's held for the past 22 years.  She has been involved with Angeles Crest over the years as a camper, volunteer worker, camp counselor and as a camp dean.  Vicky has a great love for Angeles Crest and a lot of experience in leading camps for moms and daughters.  Vicky's positive attitude, creative thinking and excellent leadership combine to provide a fantastic experience at this retreat.

Guest Speaker:  JUDY SHARFENBERG

Judy is a wife of 40 plus years, mother of six and grandma to 14 terrific grandkids. Coming from a broken and dysfunctional home, Judy has been a teenage wife and mom, stay-at-home-mom, a single/working mom, divorced and on her way to heartache until an old friend came back into her life and told her about a God who is personal and One who had a plan for her life. She turned to Him and her life was changed forever. Her story is not new, and familiar to many women. Judy, now an author and speaker, will offer us all encouragement and hope this weekend.

Worship Leader:   KIM HAMILTON 

Kim Hamilton has been ministering in Orange County, CA many years leading worship at churches, schools, conferences and camps. She has taught at the elementary and college levels, and directed musical productions for students and church groups of all ages. Kim has also been a featured speaker at women's conferences throughout the state, sharing a personal testimony of the presence of God's grace and healing power in her life. She brings a fun, fresh, genuine spirit to worship - it will be a highlight of your weekend!  Kim lives in Laguna Hills with her husband, Dave, 20 year old son, Zack, 17 year old daughter, Kelsey, and 17 year old step-daughter, Kaylee.

Recreation Activities
Angeles Crest has a lot to offer when it comes to recreation activities!  In addition to our pool with two slides and a diving board, there are plenty of hiking trails in the area, a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, crafts, Frizbee golf, a climbing wall, the "Trampoline Thing", "Isaiah's Perch" and our very popular Zip Line!!  We also have a snack bar and recreation room that has a ping pong table, foosball tables and an air hockey table.

Program
Our program for the weekend includes four main chapel sessions where you'll be able to participate in some spirit-filled worship and also hear some practical, uplifting messages from God's Word!  You'll have time to relax throughout the weekend and have plenty of opportunities to use the various recreation events and activities up at the camp.  Click here for a schedule of the Mother/Daughter retreat weekend.   

What to Bring
Our weather at camp is usually a reflection of the Southern California weather. However, the evenings can be cool. Bring recreation and hiking clothes for the day and jackets for the evening. You will need a sleeping bag, pillow, wash cloth, toiletries, towel, flashlight, Bible, etc.

"Camperships" Available
Our greatest desire is to minister to people through our camp program.  If you have a special financial need, we have Camperships (1/3 off the cost of camp) available.  Request for all Camperships must be in writing and must be submitted to the camp with the registration form 10 days before the camp.  Rules for acceptance and participation at an ACCC program are the same for everyone regardless of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or handicap.

To register for the Mother & Daughter camp, please fill out a registration form (see below) and send it to our administrative office along with a non-refundable deposit of $30.00 per person.  You can either send a check (made payable to "Angeles Crest Christian Camp") or you can click here to fill out our online credit card form.
