There is nothing more important than for a Father to spend time with his son!  Our Father and Son retreat gives the opportunity for dads to take their sons to camp and create lasting memories.
This is one of our most popular camps of the year as we provide a fun, spirit-filled adventure for dads and kids.  We want to invite you to come up and experience a weekend of great food, great fun and a great father-son experience.

Brian is the On-Site Camp Director for Angeles Crest Christian Camp ministries and will serve as our host for the retreat.  Brian has worked and lived at Angeles Crest for 8 years and previously was a youth pastor for almost 15 years.  He has 3 kids, 2 boys and a girl.  As the father of two boys he sees the need to spend time with them and the value of them being challenged by Godly men like the speaker for the retreat.  He loves to see Fathers and Sons coming together to spend time just having fun, worshipping God, and being challenged by God to be men and young men whose Aim is True.

Guest Speaker:  Gary Richmond

Gary Richmond is a much sought after speaker who engages audiences with his amazing stories of animal antics, scares and adventures he has faced in his many years working for Zoos in the local area and the Department of Animal Control in Los Angeles. Gary’s messages always entertain and excite young and old and his clever gift of storytelling has every adventure lead back to a message for all from God. Gary has been traveling and speaking to such notable camps as Mt. Hermon, Forest Home and Hume Lake and once again adds Angeles Crest to his tour. You and your son’s will be blessed that he did.

Along with local camp speaking, Gary also speaks regularly at Young Life’s Camp Malibu in Canada to a large executive men’s retreat. Insight for Living used him as a lead speaker and comedian on their cruises and he recently I spoke at Sandy Cove and Camp Joy EL on the East coast.

Gary is a bestselling author and has published 22 books. He’s been seen on Focus on the Family and The 700 club as well as dozens of other radio and television guest shots.  His Book, “A View from the Zoo” was a best-seller and award winner.

He served at the Evangelical Free Church in Fullerton, California for twenty-seven years and has just begun a new ministry to parents at Inland Hills Church.

Worship Leader:  "The Quivers"

14 FS Quivers PhotoOur worship for the weekend will be led by "The Quivers"!  This father and son band played at last year's father & son event and did an outstanding job!  These dads and their sons hail from Newbury Park and are ready to lead our group of father and sons into a exciting time of worship. Not only are they great musicians and singers, but they have a genuine love for the Lord that permeates their music and their worship. They'll remind us at each of our main sessions that we all need "faithful friends" to help us on our journey with the Lord.

Our weather at camp is usually a reflection of the Southern California weather.  However, the evenings can be cool.  Bring recreation and hiking clothes for the day and jackets for the evening.  You will need a sleeping bag, pillow, wash cloth, toiletries, towel, flashlight, Bible, etc.

Our greatest desire is to minister to people through our camp program.  If you have a special financial need, we have Camperships (1/3 off the cost of camp) available.  Request for all Camperships must be in writing and must be submitted to the camp with the registation form 10 days before the camp.  Rules for acceptance and participation at an ACCC program are the same for everyone regardless of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or handicap.
