3 days and 2 nights of all-you-can-eat food, fun, recreation, worship and hang time!
Staff are welcoming, compassionate and committed to making sure you enjoy your stay. The cabins are clean and staff works hard to make sure you feel a part of things. The camp store has great treats too. Come hungry as the food is delicious and obviously made with love!!!
This is a great camp!
The surroundings are relaxing, the group and individual activities can be as exciting or inspiring as you like, the food tastes great (and there is plenty of it!), and the staff is friendly, competent, and truly demonstrates that they care about the well-being and positive experience of the camp guests - I’ve felt that first-hand and have also seen it in the experiences of others around me at camp. (Brian, Josiah, Jacob and the rest of the crew — you guys are the best — thanks for making our time up at camp so great!)
Perhaps what I love most about Angeles Crest is the awesome surroundings. The primary camp facilities (cabins, dining hall, meeting rooms and outdoor amphitheater) are literally perched on the wide crest of a forested mountainside in the middle of the rugged Angeles Crest National Forest. From most sides of the main camp area, you can see out for miles around which yields amazing views and photographs — particularly sunsets from the outdoor amphitheater, pool, and open recreation field area. I’m amazed that even though the camp is so close to the urban sprawl of LA and Orange County, when I’m up here, I feel like I’m a million miles away from the day-to-day pressures down in the lowlands!
In addition to the main camp area, Angeles Crest acquired a neighboring camp (formerly run by the Girls Scouts) in the adjacent valley and now has access to a small lake for canoeing and boating and has turned some of the forested surroundings into an awesome paintball range amongst the pines!
I’ve been to several different Christian Camps over the years and can truly say that Angeles Crest is one of my favorites — and it seems to just keep getting better each time I return!
Our youth group attends Angeles Crest Christian camp for their summer camp. They never fail to deliver. Great attention is given to the service of their guests. The staff is cheerful, friendly and helpful in every way. The facilities are clean and recent upgrades are noticeable and appreciated in the cabins, meeting rooms and dining hall. Last year they extended their zipline and it is better than ever. Most importantly, the experience at the camp truly changes lives. We have seen this first hand.
About Angeles Crest
Angeles Crest Christian Camp, just 90 minutes from LA, is a breathtaking gathering place overlooking the stunning San Gabriel Mountain high atop a scenic 6,000 foot crest. We have discovered that when men, women and students gather at Angeles Crest, it’s easier to connect with God and others in a fun, relational way.
By combining God’s beautiful creation, tons of fun, His Word and friends in a unique camp setting, an eternal impact emerges in our lives – not just for Heaven’s sake, but for the Kingdom of God among us.
