Angeles Crest Update: News & Stories from Our Community
May 2025
Big Give Day Mission: Accomplished!

We are thrilled to share the incredible results from Big Give Day 2025.
This year’s Mission: Chill-Possible campaign received $29,662!
That’s 48% more than the original goal of $20,000!
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all our generous donors who will make this summer even better for our campers with new air conditioning and the new shade canopy.

Mission Update:
We wasted no time getting both of these projects completed before the summer campers arrive in about a month.
The new, custom shade canopy has been delivered to camp and is in the process of being installed on the Dining Hall Deck.
And, the air conditioning units are up and running Pines and Ponderosa meeting rooms (pictured here).
Bonus Mission Unlocked:
Because you donated above and beyond the initial goal, we are planning on also adding a new cooling system for the kitchen where temperatures soar over 100 degrees regularly.
The new unit will be a huge blessing for our hard working staff.

Drumroll Please…
and the winners of the Mission: Impossible Movie Ticket Giveaway are:
- Dave & Lori George (pictured)
- Denise Coy
- Erwin Estrada
Congratulations to our winners! Enjoy the movie! Thank you to everyone who donated to Big Give Day and made it a huge success!
Man Camp Recap: It was a very cool weekend
Check out the Recap Video:
This year’s Man Camp was one for the record books. It was the first year in memory that it snowed during Man Camp weekend. The surprise winter weather required a shift in plans, but the men lived up to the weekend’s theme. They stayed tough despite the cold, digging into the word and connecting with one another.
Don’t take our word for it though. Take a look at this awesome testimony of two time Man Camper, Nate Johnson, who attended 12 men’s conferences last year and said Angeles Crest was his favorite:
Make sure to Save the Date for next year’s Man Camp on April 24-26, 2026. We hope to see you all there.
Volunteers Help Get Camp Ready for Summer
Volunteer Work Day was an incredibly productive weekend with more than 15 projects completed which included tree trimming, cleaning flower beds, painting tables and adding brand new siding to the Ponderosa Building, just to name a few. We are enormously grateful to every single one of our 40+ volunteers who came up the mountain to prep camp for the upcoming summer. Take a look at some photos from the weekend here.
You can view and download even more photos from Volunteer Work Day on our SmugMug page.
Don’t miss out next year! Come up and enjoy a weekend in the mountains and volunteer. Save the date for May 9th, 2026.
If you would like to volunteer anytime during the year, you can fill out a Volunteer Application here:
Prayer Request:
Please pray for the Mother-Daughter Retreat coming up this weekend where over 130 women and children will be growing together and growing in God as they “Taco ‘bout Jesus”.
Pray for our new Summer Staff Training, the Maintenance Team as they prepare the camp facilities, and for the generosity of God’s people to provide camperships.

“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.”
– 2 Corinthians 9:11-12
