Angeles Crest Update: News & Stories from Our Community

December 2025

Join us as we celebrate the birth of our Savior!

As a child growing up in the 80s, I remember watching Mickey Mouse and Scrooge McDuck in the Disney version of “A Christmas Carol” a lot.

While I didn’t quite understand the full meaning behind the Dickens classic back then, the idea of helping those around you and being thankful for what you have, no matter how small, still made an impact even as a kid.

When we look at the greatest Christmas story of all time, the birth of Jesus, we can see how those same ideas were on display over 2000 years ago. While many innkeepers turned Mary and Joseph away saying they had no room, there was the one that gave them shelter in the stables. Even though most of us might have felt disappointed by the meager accommodations and difficult situation, it says in Luke 2:19, “But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.”

I pray that this Christmas season, we all remember to be like Mary, no matter our circumstances, as we reflect on the birth of our Savior, the greatest gift of all.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Help us celebrate the Month of Giving by keeping campers dry and warm!

Earlier this month we kicked off our Christmas campaign, “Shingle All The Way”, to improve the aging buildings in the North Cabin area by fixing 4 cabin roofs this winter.

Due to decades of both intense summer sun and harsh winter rains & snow, our camper cabins are in desperate need of new shingles!

To close out 2025, and before the winter weather comes, we need to replace four roofs in the North cabin area. Each roof costs $7,500 to replace.

So far, we have received $10,400 toward our goal!

Can you help us “Shingle All The Way” to $30,000 for 4 new roofs?

You can donate online here.

Let’s keep those campers safe, dry and warm all season long! Thank you for your support of Angeles Crest Christian Camp!

Take a look at the many milestones that happened in 2025!

So much happened this past year that we couldn’t fit it into a Top 10. So, we now present you with the Top 16 Wins in 2025! Let us know what you think the biggest win was this year.

The first three people who responded with their answer received a little stocking stuffer (a $10 Starbucks gift card) as a small Christmas present from Angeles Crest. Let us know what you think with an email to [email protected].

We can’t wait to hear from you!

A Prayer For Our Angeles Crest Family

– From Dave Crouse | Executive Director

“Heavenly Father, we pray for your abundant blessings to be upon each of the individuals and families that are a part of Angeles Crest Christian Camp. May you fill each person with your joy and peace during the Christmas season as we celebrate the special gift of your son, Jesus Christ. We pray that each person would experience the deep love you have for them and that they would be able to share that love with others around them. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

– Luke 2:10-11
