A Relaxing Weekend for Moms and Daughters
The Mother-Daughter Retreat was a rejuvenating time with speaker Pam Young and worship with Mandie Pinto reflecting on Psalm 46:10 and the theme of “Be Still”. It was a great time to build the mother/daughter bond and to be encouraged in the faith.
The ladies enjoyed a spa experience all weekend with seminars where they could make their own Bath Bombs & Sachets or even a delicious smelling Lemonade Sugar Scrub. The luxe spa room was a favorite escape for the moms and daughters looking for a little quiet time and giving each other spa treatments. Plus, robes were welcome anytime, not just at the Pajama Party.
Don’t miss out next year when the Mother-Daughter Retreat returns on June 4-6.
What’s Happening?: Vista Project Edition
In 2023, Angeles Crest announced a big project at the 75th Anniversary Gala that would transform the camp and help accomplish our goal of reaching 10,000 campers every year. We are calling it “The Vista Project” and we wanted to give you some updates.
First, the Forest Service has given Angeles Crest conditional approval for the Vista Project which is a new building that we plan to use as a brand new 350 seat dining room and meeting space.
However, before moving forward with the Vista Project, we have been completing other projects we feel that needed to be done prior to the construction of our new building. This included adding much needed air conditioning to our meeting rooms, a tent covering to the outside deck of the dining hall, new roofs on eight of the camper cabins in the north area as well as adding new bathrooms to four of those cabins.
What’s Next? In September, Angeles Crest staff will have a Vision Meeting outlining plans and timelines for the Vista Project and related projects. Stay tuned for more updates.
Angeles Crest Celebrates Angels Win!
On June 13th, fifty Angeles Crest baseball fans got together to watch the Angels take on the Tampa Bay Rays in Anaheim. The day started off with tailgating and socializing under the “Big A”. It was a great time to fellowship and enjoy some delicious food before heading into the game.
Once inside the stadium, the Angeles Crest crew witnessed a heavenly show. The Angels defeated the Rays in a 8-0 victory, including a spectacular home run in the 7th inning. As an extra bonus, the group experienced a stunning fireworks show to cap off a perfect night.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. We are so glad you could be there.

Prayer Request
Pray for our PROGRAM DIRECTORS that God would give them inspiration and wisdom as they lead the summer programs camps. Pray God would give STRENGTH AND EXTRA GRACE to our summer staff, food service staff, and maintenance staff, to continue to faithfully serve our campers through the stress of summer.
“Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you..”
– James 1:4-5
