Youth Winter Camp Recap
Angeles Crest welcomed nearly 400 campers and leaders for our two Youth Winter Camps in February. The high school and middle school youth dove into the book of Habakkuk, focusing on the theme “Breathe Out”. Speakers Jono Knepper and Spencer Osbourne spoke into the next generation and saw 45 students make first-time decisions to follow the Lord. Amen! See how one student’s life was changed at camp.
“We have a 15-year-old student who is awesome and seeks God, but he is also a bit rebellious. We had our students sign a contract before they came, promising they’d follow a buddy system, and he was kind of rude about it. After Saturday night (when he accepted Jesus as his Savior), his behavior changed; it was wild. He seemed humbled. Then on the car ride back, as we’re going down the mountain, he says, ‘It’s crazy. I have this feeling in my chest, it’s like, warm and happy and like, LOVE!’ And my co-director and I were like, “That’s the Holy Spirit!” He was so excited, and you could see his mind spinning. It was so amazing to see.”

Sowers Spotlight
Throughout 2025, Angeles Crest was blessed by multiple couples who are a part of the Sowers ministry. “What are the Sowers?”, you may ask. The SOWER (Servants On Wheels Ever Ready) Ministry is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian couples RV work ministry that provides volunteer help to selected Christian ministries for 1 month intervals. Last year, Angeles Crest hosted 3 couples: Karen & Scott Williams, Janelle & Marty Jorgenson, and Jim & Mari Haney. Our camp was blessed by their talents as well as their fellowship.
They completed hundreds of hours of work and numerous projects over the course of several months. We are so incredibly grateful for each couple that left their mark on camp and hope to see them back on the mountain in the future.

Meet Scott and Karen. They sold their home in 2024 and set off in their RV after feeling called by the Lord to simplify their lives. After a year on the road, they were looking for something different. As they pressed into the Lord, they met a couple at a campground who encouraged them to look into Sowers and Angeles Crest ended up being their first Sowers project! During their time at Angeles Crest, they built bathroom benches, replaced baseboards, drywall patching, electrical work and painting. You can even see some of the projects Scott and Karen did on her YouTube channel.
Karen said, “We really felt like part of the family! We have shared many meals with the staff, some at their house too! We have played games and shared many stories during this month”.
Meet Jim & Mari who have been married 21 years and have 5 kids & 13 grandchildren. They came from an engineering & IT background and when they retired, they took their friends’ advice, who had been Sowers for 3 years, and became Sowers themselves. They served at Angeles Crest for 3 months and in that time completed many projects. Some highlights were building the octagon swing, finishing the siding on Ponderosa, sewing 16 very large curtains, electrical work and much more.
When asked what working at Angeles Crest was like, Mari said, “We loved our beautiful view, but the best part was meeting new people & making forever friends. We were included in everything and felt like family. We enjoyed working alongside others to accomplish amazing goals”.

Prayer Request
Pray for our BOARD OF DIRECTORS as they meet and plan for the future of the camp. Pray God PROVIDES AMAZING STAFF for summer camp. Also, pray that our SPRING CALENDAR fills up with guest groups.
“Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.”
