March 2025
Take Me Out To The Ballgame…
As the Donor Care and Events leader, I am so excited to announce a brand new event for all to enjoy. That event is a group outing to a Dodgers baseball game vs. the San Francisco Giants on Saturday, June 14th at 7 p.m. at Dodgers Stadium. This invitation is open to anyone in the Angeles Crest family (church leaders, donors, campers, parents, etc.) to join the ACCC Staff for an evening of socializing, Dodger Dogs, friendly rivalry and enjoying America’s favorite pastime.
There are a limited number of tickets we have reserved and are available for purchase online through the Angeles Crest website, so buy your tickets soon before they are sold out!
Tickets are $89 each and will be in section 15 Reserve. If you have any questions, please contact Amber at amber@angelescrest.com. I hope to see you all on June 14th!

Volunteer Work Day

Our Angeles Crest staff work incredibly hard all year round. They give 100% everyday and pour their hearts out to make an eternal impact on every camper that visits. It is a blessing to see them in action. Volunteer Work Day 2025 will take place on Saturday, May 10th. It is the one day of the year when we make the drive up the mountain, roll up our sleeves and help this amazing crew prepare for the busiest season of the year.

Preteen Winter Camp Recap
Last month, Angeles Crest was overtaken by almost 150 preteen campers from grades 3-6 and their leaders. It was a God-filled weekend led by Preteen Program Director, Keith Poletiek. The kids dove into the theme of “Snow Other Name” and learned how there is no greater name than Jesus.
Take a look at this video recap from the 2025 Preteen Winter Camp.
How Winter Camp Made an Eternal Impact:
There have been countless stories over the years about how camp changes lives. This winter is no exception. One leader let us know about a specific camper whose mountain top experience had an eternal impact. Here is their testimony…
“A certain boy in my youth group was dealing with some pretty dark stuff coupled with family issues and hadn’t been able to share with anyone for over a year. He was falling apart inside and thinking of seriously harming himself. [The speaker’s] teaching combined with the opportunity camp creates, pushed him to ‘be real’ with himself and with me. He pulled me aside and broke down for over an hour, we talked it through, prayed and I gave him advice on how to move forward. He followed through with that advice the day we got home from camp. Since then he’s sought help, trusted in God, talked to his family, seen a doctor and changed the course of his life.”

Prayer Request:
Please pray for all the winter campers who are back home and facing everyday challenges. Let’s pray that what they learned will have a lasting impact and that they will continue to keep their eyes on Jesus.
Hebrews 12:1-2
“…let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith…”
North Cabin Renovation Update

In December, we shared an ambitious plan to renovate the North Cabins by adding attached bathrooms to each of the 9 cabins over the next 2-3 years.
It is the number one request that all the leaders write on their evaluations.
In response, we asked for your support in helping raise $84,000 for our first phase of the project; renovating Cabin 4. We are pleased to announce that in the month of December we raised almost $20,000 toward our goal! Thank you to all our incredible supporters who donated toward this immense project. Not only did we raise nearly $20,000 through individual donations, but in God’s perfect timing, we also received an estate gift from the sale of First Christian Church Long Beach, which will help with the cost of this project.
In February, our staff met with our contractor to look over plans for the first bathroom. We would love to have the first bathroom completed before summer campers arrive. As someone who camped in girl’s town in the late 90’s, I can tell you this will be transformational. This project is also a huge stepping stone toward our vision to see 10,000 campers served every year. I am so excited to see this project break ground. We will share more updates in the coming months. Stay tuned.
