Did you know Angeles Crest hosts guests in our Airbnb cabin?

Well, we do and most of the time, folks have a great mountain top experience without incident.

But…we had a crazy story unfold in December.

A storm dumped a beautiful pile of snow in the Angeles National Forest.

Unfortunately a guest family got stuck. But the good news it – The LASD Air Rescue hovered in and transported our stranded family who ran out of baby formula for their 1 year old. Woohoo for the LASD!

12 Months of Prayer

We sent out lots of prayer cards at the end of 2021, asking our friends, families, donors, and supporting churches to join us in prayer in 2022. But why is prayer so important?

The Bible reminds us that God calls us to seek Him and stay connected to Him in prayer (Colossians 4:2). Prayer takes obedience, gratitude, honesty about our concerns, and trust that God is able to answer our prayers.

But we are not called to pray only when we have some major problem or concern. Instead, we are instructed to pray at all times (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) – in times of rejoicing and in times of challenge.

In the month of January, we are asking that you join us in praying for our mission.

Please pray that God would give the resources to accomplish the vision of seeing 10,000 campers per year attend Angeles Crest.

Pray that the mission of Angeles Crest Christian Camp, “Providing great mountain top experiences with an eternal impact” would be successful resulting in a multitude of spiritual decisions made throughout the year.

We are seeking God to give us wisdom and favor and ask that you join us in prayer for this as well. Thank you for your faithful prayer support of the ministry of Angeles Crest.

Speaking of prayer, the February prayer request is for Camp. If you have a prayer card from us for 2022, you know that February is the month of prayer for winter camps. By the time the next newsletter is released, winter camp will be done.

Please pray that God would move in the hearts of students and leaders alike and that their time in the mountains would be eternally impactful.
